Producer groups of fruits, vegetables and grapes
"Quality - Simvolo" began as an Agricultural
cooperative on 11 April 2003, having 80 members.
The members could sell their products through
the cooperative, having greater potential to the
best price, decided after the common market.
 Next
year, on September 15 2004 pre-identified as a
producer group. The members increased and began
an effort by the institutions of the cooperative
to 'impose' rules of production and quality.
Specifically, the policy of the organization are
those concerning the implementation of
production systems, to the permanent control of
producers and production process, quality
assurance, compliance to legal requirements,
respect them and protect the environment. At
this stage, the administration of the producer
group wants to familiarize producers with the
implementation of quality systems and to control
the production process. This system of
integrated management the producer groups based
on the EUREPGAP protocol.
Members of producers' groups continue to market
their products mainly based on join marketing,
and most objective of all, members and
management is the routing of products through
its own processing plan.
So in September 2005, is the first step in
packaging and marketing their products abroad,
with rented packaging unit, while they qualify
for the establishment of their own unit. Starts
in the membership of the European market,
offering everything from best quality to all
customers, and continues to implement the
integrated management system EUROPGAP.
Since September 2006, the group in completing
its own packaging unit, with modern facilities
and equipment, the 3.000 square meters, which
certified at BRC, IFS.
Its aim is to be able to channel all its
products on the market, ranging around of
2,000,000 pounds grapes, to be able to meet
customer needs, offering over all excellent
quality.
